Corruption has been described as something that creates obstacles in the progress of the country and as long as it is not eliminated, the country will continue to face setbacks.

The Head of the Community Awareness Group, Institute of Public Safety Conservation and Correction Dr. (Amb.) Joshua Osatimehi, stated this during a press briefing in Kaduna, shortly after the conclusion of a training session organized by his organization for the employees of the local government councils of the Northern States in Kaduna.

Dr. Osatimehi added that the fight against corruption starts from home in the family. According to him, As long as you teach your family to hate corruption, there is no doubt that they will grow up as good citizens.

He expressed the hope that the learning they acquired during the training session will be useful for the participants, who came from different States in the northern region, to build a new good community.

Some of the participants who were interviewed praised the group’s efforts in organizing the training session, and promised to implement what they learned.
